Custom-making a book to help them process the changes is surprisingly supportive for most young children, and way easier than it sounds.

It walks you quickly through the reasons that observation can be a helpful tool, gives some tips on how to do it usefully, provides some examples and a little tool for note-taking.

But so often we find ourselves putting out the same things over and over again. No longer!
